Nokia has been holding a tight pace regarding its smartphone offering. After the rumour of the about to launch Nokia 9, another newcomer just entered the mid-range market Nokia 7.
Nokia launched the Nokia 7 today as an upgrade to the existing Nokia 6 with significant build changes. The Nokia 7 boast as the Nokia’s first Android device to sport a glass back. Nokia claims the glass back is a Vacuum moulded 3D Gorilla Glass which promises tight rigidity on the phone.
The Nokia 7 comes with IP54 certification meaning that it is splashproof. Under the hood, you will get a Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 processor paired with 4 or 6GB of RAM. It comes with 64GB ROM and an SD card slot as well.
Coming to the display department, you’ll find a 5.2” 1080p IPS Gorilla Glass 3 Screen.
It has a 16MP Camera with f/1.8 aperture, 1.12um pixels and a dual-tone LED flash. You will also get a 5MP snapper on the selfie department. The selfie camera has a larger pixel of 1.4um pixels and 84-degree-of-view.
On the connectivity side, you will get a Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0 and also a USB type-C The phone also supports LTE network connectivity NFC, a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor.

Software-wise, It comes preinstalled with Android 8.0 Oreo, Zeiss imaging experience which allows you to capture Bothies – split-screen photo and videos simultaneously with both front and rear cameras. It also has Nokia OZO audio for an immersive sound experience.
The Nokia 7 will come in Gloss Black and matte white.
The phone is not yet available in Nigeria when available; it may cost around NGN150,000.
