Nigerian youths who are studying abroad are making the country proud. We hear stories about Nigerians that graduate as the best students in other nations across the world, this goes to show that we Nigerian are hardworking, smart and intelligent people. Another Nigerian has just proven that Nigerians always stand out everywhere they go. The young lady who was identified as Comfort Tioluwani graduated as the best student at the University of Wales, United Kingdom with a distinction in Law (LLM). Comfort who is the eldest child of four children was born in Nigeria but left to study abroad after graduating from the University of Abuja. Her parents are Reverend and Barrister Tioluwani.
In an interview, Comfort said that she wouldn’t have achieved the best student award without God and prayers.
She said: “I don’t, but I am quite studious. I attribute my success to the Lord Jesus Christ because nobody receives anything on earth except it be given to him from heaven because, in all fairness, I never expected that I would graduate with a distinction in LLM Law let alone graduate as the best student. Romans 9:16: “So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy.” I cannot claim that I read a lot, but I can argue that I prayed a lot to achieve this. Thus I attribute this success to Jesus, who is the lifter of my head. The prayers of my parents also went a long way to make this happen. It symbolises the fact that Jesus still answers prayers. Also, faith in God with hard work pays.”
Comfort also explained that it was not easy for her to adjust when she first moved abroad because of the change from Nigeria method to UK way of the educational curriculum. The young lady further advised students to be goal-driven and be focused in whatever they do.
